This video contains rare footages of the 1986 Tour de Corse Rally. Featuring the Alfa Romeo GTV6 2.5 of Yves Loubet at his best result with Alfa Romeo in the World Rally Championship. The Group A car finished at 3rd place in overall ranking among many Group B cars. Disco Volante 2012 T-shirt

On zazzle.com I found this T-shirt featuring the 2012 Alfa Romeo Disco Volante by coachbuilder Touring Milano. It displays the Disco Volante with the original, C52 Disco Volante from 1952 in the background as it was shown on the company’s boot on the 2014 Geneva Automobile Show. The 2012 Disco Volante based on the 8C Competizione, so if you want to have one, you have to bring an 8C to Milan to start with. To speak about the T-shirt and such on zazzle.com site, the pros are that you have an option to choose a different shirt (i.e. with long sleeves or a baby-dress or what ever kind you want and they offer :)) and different colour and size. The other good news about zazzle.com that you can create your own design and not only on clothing but on a big selection of gifts (i.e. mugs, phone and tablet cases, posters and many more). So you don’t have to stick to those items others already made and offer for sale but you can do your own! And that should be very personal indeed. Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider: The essential buyer’s guide

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider: The essential buyer’s guide is a must for everyone planning to buy and rebuild any version of the well-known model. It was in production from 1966 ’til 1994 and one of the emblematic model of the brand Alfa Romeo. This car appeared in the movie ‘The Graduate’ as Dustin Hoffmann’s car and was nicknamed after the movie as Alfa Romeo Graduate on the US market. The model had 4 generations. The first was the original version called ‘Duetto’ (twoseater in Italian) or ’round-tail’ referring to the oval design of the tail. It was in production only for 3 years and was replaced by the long-lived ‘Coda Tronca’ (means cut-off tail) which also known as ‘Kamm-tail’ based on the designer name who made it. The 3rd generation arrived just in 1982 called ‘Aerodinamica’ referring to the aerodynamic elements as the new front bumper with spoiler underneath and the small rubber wing at the tail. The 4th and last generation stayed in production until 1994 (different sources states that the production had been finished in 1993 but they sold the model as new during 1994 as well). These late models has no nicknames. Share this:FacebookTwitterGoogleTumblrPinterestEmailMorePrintRedditPocketLike this:Like...

Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ 1963 – high quality die cast model

This high quality die cast model displays the famous Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ race car which were built in 1963-65 in 112 pcs. The Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ – called TZ1 many times since the most powerful TZ2 replaced in 1965 – is the very first model was made by Carlo Chiti and the Autodelta which was the official racing department of Alfa Romeo between 1963 and the late 80s when Fiat took over the company. The two capital letters in the name of the model stands for Tubolare Zagato. Tubolare means the chassis frame was built from tubes (tubular spaceframe). This chassis was covered by lightweight aluminium panels and glasses were replaced by plexi but the front windscreen. The design came from Zagato the well-known coachbuilder of Milan. The result was an only 650 kgs heavy (or even more light) car both for roads and racetracks. The 1.6-litre engine came from the Giulia production models but with a twin-spark cylinder head – later featured in the GTA model -and of course more power. 112 bhp for the roads and a healthy 160 bhp for the tracks. The Alfa Romeo DOHC high performance manual

This is one of the most professional book ever written about a specific engine. Thousands of Alfa-fans can confirm that its content is well focused on the topic and contains all the relevant information about how to tune up Alfa Romeo’s famous DOHC-engines, called Nord-engine. The nick name came from the 70s when Alfa opened the second factory near to Neapel producing the Alfasud and its successors with boxer-engines. So the old factory up Nord in Arese (next to Milan) produced the bigger models and the more sophisticated designs. From that time the alloy in-line 4-cylinder engines received the nick name: Nord-engine. This engine family started its life in the Giuliettas in the mid-50s. Since then it was featured in Giulias and derivates, in Alfettas, Giulietta Nuovas, 90s, 75s. The latest derivates are the 8V TwinSpark engines built in the 155 and 164 models. This book’s author is Jim Kartalamakis, aka JK from many Alfa related forums, who has a very good reputation among Alfisti. This book is a must for each and every Alfa-lover who is willing to tune up his much loved baby or just interested in technical details of that famous engines.
